LYRA FOR TESLA · THE GUIDE

Bring the words to the back seat.

The owner’s Model Y Juniper test confirmed the Theater launch path and simultaneous front/rear use. This is not a guarantee for every Tesla or software update; the target is 2026.38 or newer.

1 · Start while parked

Sign in to Lyra in the front normal browser. Open Settings → Tesla → Rear screen, read the launch guide, then Launch. The Theater route uses a YouTube redirect to Lyra’s public rear-player page; no Tesla access token is placed in that target URL.

2 · Open Theater in the rear

Keep the rear lyrics page open. The first connection requires a sync code, generated on the front screen in the next step. Standard fullscreen alone does not transfer a page to another screen.

3 · Return the front to its normal browser

Exit Theater on the front, then reopen Lyra in the normal browser alongside navigation. Do not leave the front in Theater: it may inherit the rear aspect ratio and is unavailable while driving. The rear can stay in Theater.

4 · Pair with a sync code

Generate an 8-digit code under Settings → Tesla → Rear screen. Have the rear passenger enter it within 5 minutes. Codes are single-use; generate another if it expires. Pair again if the rear session is lost. Cookie persistence across restarts depends on the vehicle browser.

Shared playback, independent immersion

Both pages follow the same vehicle and share the playback clock, display preferences, cover choice and lyric version. Immersion remains independent. Rear layouts show fewer lines and larger touch targets.

If the route stops working

A vehicle update can change Theater behavior. If you see “Continue on another device” or cannot open the page, return to the normal front browser. Lyra does not automatically repeat redirects. Drivers must not operate setup while driving.
